Yey, Chemistry!
Monday, September 14, 2009 @ SI Measurements
Today in Chemistry 11, our class consisted of learning the metric system and reviewing scientific notation.

There are 4 fundamental units that we will be focusing on:
-meter (m) -> length
-kilogram (kg) -> mass
-second (s) -> time
-mole (mol?)-> amount

We went through significant digits
-digits 1-9 are always significant
-When adding or subtracting, round to the least precise number
-When you multiply or divide, round to the number with the fewest significant digits.

We reviewed and skimmed through scientific notation
-don't use scientific notation and prefixes together
